Ingredients:

Freshly baked croissant served with preserves and butter, homemade muesli, fresh seasonal fruit, Bulgarian yoghurt, honey, eggs, bacon, Erwin’s homemade cheese griller, white and brown bread, milk, and juice.


South African Braai Baskets

R195 per adult | R125 per child (0 to 12 yrs)

Ingredients:

200g beef rump steak, traditional boerewors, chicken kebab, locally produced beetroot and butternut salad, traditional Greek salad, homemade garlic and cheese roll.


The Tasting Room

This popular on-site restaurant offers a laidback environment with an emphasis on fresh and inventive food. The charming dining and bar area with views over the dam and surrounding Stanford Valley, and the large outside seating area makes the ideal summer venue.

Open for both breakfast and lunch, you can browse the a la carte menu, daily chalkboard specials, takeaway menu, or even order one of our personalised picnic baskets to enjoy wherever you desire.

The restaurant has a reputation for laid back fun, with the emphasis on fresh and inventive food of an exceptionally high standard. The chalkboard menu changes daily according to what is locally fresh and available, including items from our own vegetable garden.

Nature

The farm also produces Proteas and Pincushions, which are endemic to South Africa. So, from July through November the farm is filled with these colourful blooms.

Adventure

The farm offers horse-riding, hiking and even whale-watching by air in a small airplane which takes off from the farm’s private landing strip. You can also have a swim in a farm dam, try your hand at fishing, or simply lie in bed and listen to the birds.

The charming town of Stanford is overlooked by the Klein River Mountains. It is famous for it’s award winning eateries and has an eclectic mix of art galleries, breweries and wine farms, all with fantastic views of this valley area. Stanford is in close proximity to Hermanus, considered as one of the best whale watching destinations in the world. This is also a treat for the adventurous types, as there are mountain bike trails, horse riding, shark cage diving and boat cruises, all within the area.
